I was honored at the Purple Box video festival last week, It was such an amazing event. We are in a Hip Hop Renaissance in the City. All the spitters on the bill delivered. I was honestly exhausted when I got to the venue from all my Art events the last few days but the music, the vibes, the love shared, and the flowers given, had me on a high. Got to hear some of my favorite songs and chop it up with some of my favorite artists I have been posting on @ctaradio etc. Thank you @purpleboxvideos and crew for acknowledging my contribution to this thing of ours. To Heavy Crownz for the intro, Shabazza, APJ Films, Thought Poet, Rufus Sims, and Face, yall did the thing. Also, I finally got to see That Nextel Joint live! Great times in the city. The unity is abundant. Salute to my fellow honorees.
In other news
I am the artist in residence at The Chicago Cultural Center working on a new body of work and doing free creative workshops every 2nd and 4th Friday and Saturday from 12-2 pm in the learning lab. Come create with me and see some of my work on display. FYI, the next open House is May 30th from 4-8 pm.
